Summer Mile Hyde Park Harriers 1st July 2015 (video below)
Tom Bosworth warmed up for his UK record over 5000m at the British Championships in Birmingham by clocking a British road best over a mile reports Ian Richards. Bosworth clocked 6:02 as he beat his previous course record of 6:10 set in 2013. Junior international Cameron Corbishley cut out the early pace on the two-lap course as Bosworth was happy to sit in behind him. Bosworth made his move with 500m to go and pulled away but just missed breaking the six-minute mark and Alex Wright’s British track record of 5:58.4. Corbishley hung on to clock a British junior best on the road of 6:12. Bosworth’s time would have won six of the thirteen heats of the running miles held after the walks.
