A lovely sunny day in Abbey Park, meeting friends old and new. Good walking from super-Masters Francisco Reis, Ian Richards and Kate Donaldson that was a pleasure to witness.
Linda, the publisher and editor of www.northernracewalking.com completed the Smile Mile for her first ever Race Walk in fine style!
Our best wishes go to hard-working Colin Vesty and his stalwart band in Leicester for the future. Passers by in the Park were most interested in the goings on, with a few reminiscing about the old Leicester Mercury race, very popular in its time but alas now sadly departed.
