Open 35km Road Race Including Northern Area RWA Championship Sunday July 6th
Added to the calendar as a build-up race for the National 50km in October this event proved to be very welcome indeed.

Adrian Edwards of Lancs WC won the trophy for the 35 km Northern Area Championship and the Open race was won by Jonathan Hobbs of Ashford AC.
The team from Lancashire WC also walked its way to become the winning team.
A special appearance was made by Sharon Gayter who was invited along to complete a 50km training run in preperation for an upcoming 24 hour event.
On behalf of Northern Race Walking we would like to personally thank everyone who turned out to to either compete in and/or support this event, and their help in making it a success.
