Sheffield 14th September 2014

City of Sheffield AC-Jeff Ford Walks: Mount St. Mary's College, Spinkhill Derbyshire.

14th September 2014

This meeting is named for prominent Jeff Ford who passed away some years ago, traditionally held earlier in the season in conjunction with a track meeting. It a picturesque splendid 6 lane track at this Catholic Boarding school. It is a splendid venue used by the British Milers Club as a site of residential camps.

It was impacted upon by the fact few athletes were willing to race, given the race program of two races last week for many and the England Schools Championship also being also held in the Northern Midlands in six days' time at Boston in Lincolnshire. This year races were held entirely on the track.

The winner of the senior event, Natalie Myers was returning to the event after a few years away and at 23 has strong prospects for the future, teaching commitments, notwithstanding.
